I think they should not remove then, and make triplemodded items legal - It would be awesome if Imperial Weapons were triplemoded.
Offcourse all the "balance-crazy" people won't be happy, but who cares, I think another mod isn't that big deal - new weapon mod combinations can only refresh the game.

Some uncessary harsh words towards the OP, you can get your point across without calling someone a QQer or comparing them to someone who duped armbraces.

If i recall correctly, the items dropped during one of the halloween quests:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Comma..._Mortal_Vessel
which was subsequently fixed (at least I think it was) to prevent any more of these items dropping.

Or Anet can finally say that they never planned on doing anything about this... So we can move on with our days. I'd love to see how many of these things dropped. (people selling on guru)
Side note... If they remove the mod reducing it to a regularly modded item, it would solve the problem. If they told us that they wouldn't remove the item... That would also solve the problem. HMMM..... -_-

Personally, if i wanted to play a game where you could buy your advantage i would go play WoW. Thankfully that's not the way this game works. I and many many many others enjoy the game unbroken. If you feel the need for a purchased advantage that isn't available to everyone please feel free to move to any number of other MMO's.

No, I wanted them to become more available to everyone - now they are purchasable advantage, since they are very limited and people who have them will ask alot.
Making them fully available e.g. with Imperial Weapons actually gonna be absolutely the opposite, everyone will be able to get them.
So it will no longer be an advantage.

Hope you'll have enough cheese to go around for all the whine that the PvP community is gonna generate if that ever happens..

Destroys the weapon market as all current high end items don't have 3 mods. Leave it as it is or delete the current 3 mods.

If leaving them in game, automatically ban them from PvP usage.
If that can't be done, delete them.

OP~so you have an advantages weapon that you're not really supposed to have and you want something in return if they remove it (which isnt supposed to be here)?
100% absolutely NO! There is soo much wrong with that idk where to start. They should be deleted from the game.

I found a good way to put your whining tbh. Your complaint is like finding a bag of cocaine on the street and be like "sweet, a bag of coke", upon which you get stopped by a policeman who takes away the bag (let's assume here you don't get punished for having it) upon which you say: "hey, at least give me a bag of weed in return you asshole".
Makes total sense.

I have to lol at the op , really i do .
This is a game , its not real life - if the weapons that important ( greed wise ) then you need to get a life and say hello to reality .
Theres players out there who have been hacked and have lost weapons/armor ( fow etc ) and yet when they get their accounts bk and they restart and begin again - they may have lost anything from a few k to a few million k worth of items etc.
I can undertsand them being upset at losing things they worked to - but a weapon ? sheesh.
Heres a question for the community - how many of us have accidently sold to merchant or destroyed a weapon by accident - say bds or vs , have we cried that we lost a weapon ? Hell in my first yr of gw i probably without realising sold a few rare skin weapons to merchant - its a game so i can just lol at myself and think its just bad luck.
If the weapon hadnt dropped for you - you wouldnt care , you may even be posting a reply to similar thread by someone else and say to them what others have said on here.

I'm not against extra properties in weapons.
I would even let items drop with up to 1 random inherent property in commons, 2 in uncommons and 3 in rares. And give unique weapons actual unique properties, for example:
* +1 to Fire Magic and +1 to Earth Magic in Rago's Flame Staff.
* +20% damage to Fire and Earth skills in Rago's Flame Wand.
* 20% chance of setting in fire for 5 seconds any enemy struck by your Fire or Earth spells in The Kindlerock.
BUT those extra properties would have to be disabled in PvP, and the other properties in weapons would have to stay moddable.
That is, any weapon, regardless of origin, would behave like a fully moddable PvP weapons. For all intends and purposes, a PvE and a PvP weapon would behave exactly the same in PvP.
That would mean that all Factions and Prophecies weapons would get an inscription slot, and their inherent properties would be turned into PvE-only properties. Same with nay property that has no effect in PvP like "Highly salvageable", "Def vs Race", "of Slaying", "Improved sale value" or any other property that is not replicable with the PvP item creation panel.
Same with non-moddable shields, foci and wands. They would get empty upgrade slots and their inherent non-modable properties would be turned into inherent non-modable PvE only properties.
If that can't be done, then the extra properties in the triple modded should just go.

You know, they are all in crisis already http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/g...t10455697.html
IMHO nothing will be done about existing weapons that's just not so important and stay more like game's curiosity.

Here's an alternative solution then. Allow the tripple mods to exist, and add an ultra rare chance of them dropping in game on gold weapons. Balance this with that all PvP weapons can now be designed tripple modded. Allowing PvP weapons to be tripple modded would not only balance things out but could add a new flare to PvP.
